Vega IT 65 - Novium/Tremium 55: Pešić’s 30-Point Display Carries Corporate Kup Opener
Vega IT opened their Corporate Kup 2026 campaign with a 65-55 victory over Novium/Tremium on 28 February 2026 at OŠ "Ivo Andrić" Niš. The game tilted decisively in the third quarter, when Vega IT outscored their opponents 21-14 to build a cushion they would protect down the stretch.
The narrative of the night belonged to Pešić Uroš, the official player of the game, who poured in 30 points on 13-of-23 shooting (including 3-of-7 from three) while adding five rebounds, four steals and a game efficiency of 27. Pešić carried the offense through long stretches, punctuating the victory with a back-breaking 3-pointer at 2:07 of the fourth quarter that pushed the margin to 65-51.
Balance around Pešić made the difference. Petrović Ilija supplied 17 points and seven rebounds, attacking the rim and stretching the floor with three triples at key moments. The battle on the glass was notable on both sides: Milic Aleksa hauled in a staggering 18 rebounds for Vega IT, often giving his team extra possessions; opposing center Filipović Jovan responded with a 21-point, 20-rebound performance that kept Novium/Tremium within striking distance.
Novium/Tremium’s attack featured productive stretches from Gospavić Petar, who finished with 17 points and nine rebounds but struggled from the free-throw line (3-of-10). The visitors repeatedly tried to claw back—several mid-game runs trimmed the gap—but they could not overcome Vega IT’s third-quarter surge and the steady scoring of Pešić and Petrović.
Quarter-by-quarter momentum: - Q1: Vega IT 14, Novium/Tremium 9 - Q2: Vega IT 16, Novium/Tremium 17 (halftime 30-26) - Q3: Vega IT 21, Novium/Tremium 14 (after three 51-40) - Q4: Vega IT 14, Novium/Tremium 15 (final 65-55)
Other contributors for Vega IT included Trojanović Andria, who pushed the offense with a timely triple, and role performances from the backcourt that helped contain Novium/Tremium’s late attempts to regain the lead. For Novium/Tremium, supporting cast efforts kept the game competitive, but missed free throws and turnovers at inopportune times blunted their comeback chances.
This result gives Vega IT a positive start in the 2025/26 Corporate Kup season and leaves Novium/Tremium with clear takeaways as they regroup for the next round.
